Purification of dye-laden water endures to be immensely challenging owing the occurrence highly persistent and non-biodegrade dyes, which pose a potential threat humans, flora, fauna, environment. The environmental problem was addressed by facile fabrication poly [(2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propane sulfonic acid-co-acrylamide-co-acrylic acid)] hydrogels cross-linked via sodium borate (SB), graphene oxide (GO) or N,N-methylenebisacrylamide (MBA) for elimination crystal violet (CV) from water. capability uptake recorded in terms per cent (%) swelling, exhibited attainment swelling equilibrium 24 h with corresponding maximum 2830 HBR. sorption investigated as function dosage, contact time, concentration, pH, temperature. Relative its other counter parts, demonstrated highest capability, i.e. 44 mg.g−1 greater number available sites.
